- Course Approval System
- Once a course is approved by a department, proposals are submitted for broader review through the Course Approval System. Proposals are routed to: 1) the Faculty Executive Committee (or designee) of the college/school in which the course resides; and 2) the Committee on Courses and General Education (course numbered 1-199) or the Graduate Council (courses numbered 200 and above). Reviewers assess whether the course description and all characteristics indicated appear to meet the standards for a UC-quality course, and determine whether the proposed unit value for the course is appropriate.
